Meet Our Founder
Antoinette Kreiselmeier

I understand the painful tragedy of having loved ones taken by gun violence because my two grandchildren were killed in the streets of Pittsburgh, Pa

This encourages me to meet with state representatives and lawmakers to have that conversation about the safety and the healing for survivors of gun violence.

I was searching for a support group to help me with my healing journey and to cope with the death of my granddaughter. That was like trying to find a needle in a haystack; never did find that needle, so I decided to be my own needle.

I volunteer with MOMS DEMAND ACTION support for survivors of gun violence

Grief has no set pattern. It’s expressed differently across different cultures. Some people like to be expressive and public with their emotions, while others like to keep their feelings private.

After losing a loved one, you may always carry sadness and miss the person who . has died. But most people are able to find meaning and experience pleasure again. Some people even find new wisdom and strength after loss. I would find myself again. Not the same version of me, but a stronger version.
